We all know that Microsoft is restructuring its mobile unit and has recently sold its feature phone business to Foxconn. Now, Foxconn has also taken Microsoft's mobile assets in Vietnam, including a facility where Windows Phone devices were produced.
Digitimes reports that Microsoft originally wanted to close its factories in Vietnam, but Foxconn has agreed to pay approximately $22 million (€19.5 million) to take over the facilities. The company tends to use it for production of phones but also for other parts that will be used in smartphones. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2016.
