As expected, Huawei has announced the new mid-range smartphone called Maimang 5. Just looking at the specs, the handset has quite a potential, but the only problem is that there are better smartphones for the recommended price, which is set at CNY 2,599 or $390.
It will go on sale on July 21 through Huawei's own online store in China. Since its predecessor, the Maimang 4, was launched outside of China as Huawei G8, there will probably be the same outcome for the Maimang 5.
The handset has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 625, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of expandable storage, a 16 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording support, an 8 MP selfie unit and a 3,340 mAh battery. |
