Lenovo's semi-modular Moto Z and Moto Z Force handsets will be available on Verizon beginning July 28 and preorders can be placed today. The Moto Z costs $624 ($26/month) and the Force comes in at $720 ($30/month). Both phones can be used with a few modular accessories, like the JBL Soundboost speaker ($80) and Motorola Insta-Share projector ($300).

The phones share the following specs: 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM, and 32/64 GB of expandable storage. Neither has a headphone jack, meaning you must use wireless headphones or a USB-C adapter.

For the other specs (camera, battery, display protection), the Force is superior.

The Moto Z Force has a 3500 mAh battery while the Moto Z has a 2600 mAh.

The Moto Z Force has a 21 MP camera while the Moto Z has a 13 MP.

The Moto Z Force has a Gorilla Glass 4 display while the Moto Z uses ShatterShield technology and is guaranteed not to crack from the average drop.
