Back in 2014, Oppo was a small smartphone maker that was responsible for less than 2% of the smartphones sold in China. In just two months, with a great strategy, the company has managed to become the top smartphone maker in the country with 22.9% market share.

The second place is reserved for Huawei, which has 17.4% market share, just ahead of Vivo's 12%. Xiaomi, who was once thought to become the next Apple, is at only 6.8%. The best-selling device in the country was Oppo R9, which is followed by iPhone 6s and LeEco Le 2.
