Many Chromebooks now available come with Intel processors, but according to a new report by Roland Quandt, Acer is working on a Chromebook that will have a MediaTek MT8173 processor and will be one of the rare Chromebooks with an ARM-based processor.

Acer Chromebook R13, also known as Acer CB5-312T, will pack a 13-inch Full HD display with touchscreen support and possible flip style, 4 GB of RAM, 16 GB of 32 GB SSD, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The MediaTek MT8173 chipset has a quad-core processor with two ARM Cortex-A72 cores, two Cortex-A53 cores, and PowerVR GX6250 graphics.
