Elpida Memory has disclosed the latest details regarding the company's product supply situation, 17 days after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Elpida said that its Hiroshima plant, its subsidiary Rexchip Electronics and assembly and testing subsidiary Akita Elpida are currently operating at close to normal levels.
In addition, Elpida indicated that based on inventory adjustments conducted by its group companies and information gathered from suppliers, the company can conclude that its plants have sufficient parts and materials to continue supplying products to customers as usual until the end of July.
Elpida noted that it is also in discussions with suppliers, formulating alternative material supply plans for August and beyond. Elpida anticipates that there will be no interruptions to its product supply.
