Shipments of smartphones totaled 607,000 units in the Taiwan market in June 2016, down from the 641,000 units shipped in the previous month and 640,000 units shipped a year earlier, according to data compiled by local channels.
Samsung Electronics continued to rank as the top smartphone vendor in Taiwan in terms of sales volume with a 24.5% share. Asustek Computer followed with a 16.2% share, Apple 15.7%, HTC 15% and Sony Mobile Communications 7.7%.
China-based Oppo ranked the sixth, followed by Taiwan Mobile, InFocus, LG Electronics and Benten (marketed by Senao International).
In terms of sales value, Apple took the number one title with a 41.2% share, followed by Samsung 22%, HTC 11.5%, Sony Mobile 10.5% and Asustek 5.6%.
The top-10 best-selling models in June were: iPhone 6S 64GB, iPhone 6S Plus 64GB, Galaxy J7, Galaxy J7 (2016), ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL 16GB, ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL 8GB, HTC Desire 728 dual sim, Galaxy J5, OPPO F1 and ZenFone 2 Laser ZE550KL 16GB. |
