Quanta Computer has announced consolidated revenues of NT$72.18 billion (US$2.33 billion) for June, up 3.9% on month, but down 13.7% on year, while consolidated revenues for the first seven months of 2016 were NT$477.22 billion, down 11.6% from the same period a year ago.
Although Quanta's notebook shipments were down 20% on month to reach only 3.2 million units in July, the company still managed to achieve on-month growth in revenues, showing the growth was contributed mainly by non-notebook businesses such as consumer electronics and enterprise servers.
Some market watchers pointed out that as Apple's new MacBooks are ready to ship, Quanta's revenues are expected to grow in the next couple of months. |
