Motorola's original flagship lineup, the Moto X, might be gone for good. Although recent listings and certifications revealed a device with a model number XT1663, which was believed to be the Moto X (2016), the smartphone in question is actually the new Moto M handset.
You have to admit that a 4.6-inch Moto X (2016) looked really strange, as it has been a while since Motorola launched a high-end device with such a small display. If the Moto X is really dead, many Motorola fans will be disappointed, but the new Moto Z has a lot to offer.
There is not much to know about the so-called Moto M. It is rumored to pack MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, 3 GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel on the front. Considering it uses MediaTek chipset, don't expect it to compete with higher-end phones. |
