A 10.5-inch iPad Pro model will be introduced sometime next year alongside two other iPads, says KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The other iPads are a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 and a less expensive 9.7-inch iPad. Kuo believes the 10.5-inch iPad Pro could do well in commercial and educational markets.

Coming out with a device that'll be received well by non-consumer sectors may be wise given that's where the iPad is currently doing the best. Sales overall are down, but demand has increased in commercial and government settings.

Kuo did not discuss a new iPad Mini in his report, suggesting it could be phased out, with Apple focusing more on its larger tablets.
