This Monday, a Finnish company HMD Global Oy that signed an exclusive licensing agreement for the Nokia brand, has hired Pekka Rantala as its chief marketing officer, suggesting that the Nokia devices will soon hit the market for the first time since Microsoft's acquisition.

According to a report by the Chinese news outlet The Paper, Nokia plans to launch 3 or 4 new Android devices by the end of 2016. Not only new smartphones are in the works, but tablets as well. Reportedly, two high-end models are in the works, running on the Snapdragon 820 and the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, with a metal unibody chassis.
