IT brand vendors including Acer, Asustek Computer and Samsung Electronics are ready to showcase their latest smartwatches and smart bracelet at the IFA 2016 consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany in early September, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

Acer is said to be planning to unveil a high-end smartwatch for the gaming market and a new smart wearable device, the paper noted.

Meanwhile, Asustek will unveil its third-generation ZenWatch, featuring a different industrial design than previous-generation products.

Samsung is expected to announce its next-generation smartwatch, the Gear S3. The device features a built-in barometer to detect atmospheric pressure and is able to forecast weather. The wearable is also equipped with a speedometer to detect speed of the wearer running or riding a bike.
