Sony is rumoured to announce two new smartphones at the IFA 2016 trade show, the flagship Xperia XR and the smaller version Xperia X Compact. The XR model has already leaked in the past and we know a few things about it, while the Compact is a completely new information.

The Xperia X Compact's render has leaked yesterday, but not much was known about the phone. What we know today is that the phone will keep the 4.6-inch display and 2,700 mAh battery, but will add USB Type-C port, Snapdragon 820 SoC and either 3 or 4 GB of RAM. Both devices are expected to launch on September 24, while Sony will probably unveil them at the IFA.
