Besides announcing new flagship Xperia XZ handset, Sony has also announced its next-generation, Xperia X Compact smartphone. The new model has many same specifications as its Xperia XZ flagship sibling, but some changes had to be done due to a smaller size.

Sony Xperia X Compact features a smaller, 4.6-inch 720p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,700 mAh battery, while the rest of the specifications are the same as the Xperia XZ.

It will be available in Mist Blue, Universe Black and White colors, and will roll out globally starting from October. No details about the price yet.
