The Galaxy Note 7 appears to have a fairly widespread flaw that has caused dozens of fires. In response, Samsung confirmed it would pause sales and replace units that have already gone out. This "recall" has been met with criticism from Consumer Reports, which wants the company to issue an actual recall.

Even though there may be an issue with already manufactured units, many retailers and carriers are still selling the Note 7, says Consumer Reports. An actual recall would prevent this and would help consumers figure out how to get a new phone.

As it currently stands, Samsung recognizes there's a problem, but units are still being sold and consumers may not know how to replace their phone or that there's a need to do so.
