If you own the Galaxy Note 7 phablet, then you probably know about the battery issue as Samsung officially announced a global recall of the device as a response to several units that had exploded while charging. The company has now announced more details on its Exchange Program.

There are two options - trade in your Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge with a refund for the Galaxy Note 7 accessories, or exchange Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy J series "loaner" model. Once the revised Note 7 is ready, the Galaxy J can be turned in for the replacement phablet.

If you are about to purchase the Galaxy Note 7, then you are probably wondering how to recognize the revised, safe units. Samsung will put the small black square the big blue letter "S" on the box. If these two signs are missing, then replace the unit as soon as possible.
