Though not an actual ban, the FAA has issued a statement that strongly encourages people not to take any Galaxy Note 7 units on their flights. According to the administration, passengers are advised not to use or pack their phone "in light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung."
Following dozens of fires linked to the recently launched phone, Samsung issued a recall for the Galaxy Note 7, prompting some international airlines (e.g. Qantas and Singapore Airlines) to tell passengers they cannot use or charge a Galaxy Note 7 during flights. |
