Ahead of the official launch, Sony's flagship Xperia XZ is now available for pre-order in the United States. The handset will be available on October 2, alongside the more affordable Xperia X Compact, which is expected to be available starting today, September 25 for $499.99.

The flagship Sony Xperia XZ is now up for pre-order on Amazon and is compatible with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. Other retailers such as Best Buy will also offer the smartphone starting October 2. The expected price tag of Sony Xperia XZ is $699.99.
