The majority of American consumers who purchased a since recalled Galaxy Note 7 have been picking replacements over refunds, which is ultimately a positive for Samsung. Around half of the 1 million units sold in the country have been exchanged already. Samsung says 90% of consumers have picked the replacement option.
New units became "widely available" on September 21 in the US, though other markets could be waiting a bit longer to receive their updated and less risky Galaxy Note 7 units.
It could take until the end of November for the phone to be available everywhere. |
