Many recent flagship smartphones are offered in various memory configuration so users can choose which one to buy. To keep up with the competition, Meizu has now announced a new variant of its MX6 smartphone that only differs in the amount of RAM it packs.

The original Meizu MX6 comes with 4 GB of RAM, but the company has now launched a slightly cheaper version with 3 GB of RAM. The rest of the specifications are the same, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Helio X20 chipset, 32 GB storage, a 12 MP/5 MP camera combo, and a 3,060 mAh battery. The price tag isn't that much lower. The 4 GB variant costs RMB 1,999 (around $300), while the new 3 GB is RMB 1,799 ($270).
