Chinese smartphone maker Meizu isn't currently in a good position. The company has to deal with a lawsuit from Qualcomm in three different countries as it allegedly used several of Qualcomm's patents related to 3G and 4G communications without licensing them.

Before taking any legal action, Qualcomm claimed they tried to enter negotiations with Meizu, but was not able to reach an agreement. The company is now filling a complaint, patent infringement action, and an ifringement seizure action against Meizu in Germany, France, and the United States.

"Meizu's refusal to negotiate a license agreement in good faith and its sales and distribution of infringing products around the world leave Qualcomm with no choice but to protect our patent rights through these additional legal proceedings."
