Huawei reportedly is planning to release two new MateBook devices at the end of first-quarter 2017 mainly targeting the China market, according to a Chinese-language Apple Daily report.

MateBooks launched in 2016 received positive feedback from buyers in China, are some market watchers believe the new devices will create strong competition for China's top-3 notebook vendors: Lenovo, Asustek Computer and Dell, the paper noted.

One of the two MateBooks will feature a 13.3-inch panel and the other a 15.6-inch panel. Both devices will target the high-end sector, featuring Intel's Core i-series processors.
