It has been weeks since Samsung officially announced a global recall of its flagship phablet and started its own investigation what is causing it. At first, the company thought that the SDI batteries were problem, but the device kept on catching fire with new batteries.
According to new reports, Samsung still doesn't know what is causing Galaxy Note 7 to overheat and catch fire.
"We recognized that we did not correctly identify the issue the first time and remain committed to finding the root cause. Our top priority remains the safety of our customers and retrieving 100 percent of the Galaxy Note 7 devices in the market," said Samsung's spokeswoman.
Another interesting rumour has emerged online, saying that Samsung might be planning to incentivize the loyalty of Note 7 customers in South Korea by giving them discounts on the upcoming Galaxy devices. |
