Rumors have stated Lenovo intends to acquire Fujitsu's PC business and now a deal between them has been confirmed, though the details have yet to become public. Fujitsu says it's exploring a "strategic cooperation in the realm of research, development, design and manufacturing of personal computers" with Lenovo.

Details about the "strategic cooperation" aren't available, yet the acknowledgement of an incoming deal supports the earlier reports.

Fujitsu spun off its PC division, known as FCCL, earlier in 2016. Recently, it said it was exploring options for the future of FCCL and one of those options is presumably to sell the business to Lenovo.
