Google's Project Tango 3D mapping and AR system is likely to be added to the Moto Z through a module, says Motorola CEO Aymar de Lencquesaing. During a press event, the executive said a Moto Mod module may add Tango functionality to the device.
The Moto Z, which is Motorola's flagship smartphone, was released during the summer. Its Moto Mod system allows other devices to magnetically attach to the handset and add functionality.
Project Tango lets users map indoor areas in 3D using a combination of hardware and software. Lenovo's recent Phab 2 Pro was the first phone to ship with Tango. |
