Lenovo's Motorola Mobility plans to release more Moto Mods for the Moto Z line next year than it has in 2016. The company currently intends to release four Mods per quarter. Some of the add-ons already introduced for the phones are a car dock and a battery.

Among the Moto Mods we may see at some point during 2017 are a secondary display, an improved camera, and a 5G radio.

It was recently revealed the company believes a mod will likely be released to add Google's Tango computer vision system to the phones.
