Sony's first OLED television models are reportedly on track for a release next year and they may be introduced during CES 2017. Forbes reports they'll be on the market by the third or fourth quarter. One model is 55-inches and the other is 65-inches.
Barry Young, CEO of The OLED Association, claims the 55-inch model costs $2000 and the 65-inch TV is $3000. Those price tags place them beyond the reach of many consumers, but they're reasonable given the current state of the OLED market.
TVs with OLED panels are already available from competing companies like LG and Panasonic. |
