Sales of the Apple Watch might have been down significantly in the third quarter, as IDC laid out in its report, but Apple CEO Tim Cook says the device is doing just fine. While speaking with Reuters, Cook said sales of the wearable set a record during the first holiday week and Apple expects Q4 to be its best-ever quarter.

Holiday season sales are bound to be higher than those in the preceding quarter, but the wearable clearly doesn't have the same potential reach as fitness trackers. IDC reports Apple is fourth in the wearable market, sitting behind Fitbit, Xiaomi, and Garmin.
