As Nokia made an official comeback to the smartphone market with Android-based Nokia 6 smartphone, late last night we learned that the Finnish company is also working on a new virtual assistant. The company has filed for a trademark in the EU for the name "Viki."

In the description section of the application, Viki is "software for the creation and monitoring of mobile and web assistants working with digital knowledge and combining all data sources into a single chat and voice-based interface."

If Viki is indeed a new voice-activated assistant, it will have a hard task competing with Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana, Alexa, and Bixby.
