Following the Galaxy Note 7 disaster, it looks like we are on the verge of another big recall. According to latest details, Apple has written a letter to the UAE Ministry of Economy to inform them that there is an ongoing problem with the iPhone 6s and that they need to recall 88,700 iPhone 6s units manufactured in China between September and October 2015.

This was confirmed by the director of the Consumer Protection Department at the UAE Ministry of Economy Dr. Hashim Al Nuaimi, who said that the iPhone 6s models manufactured in during the aforementioned time period have defective batteries.

Users were reporting a sudden shutdown when the battery drops to between 50 and 60 percent and sometimes after phone call. To check if your phone is affected, check this link.
