Back in September, MediaTek announced a successor to the Helio X20 and X25 chipsets, but after a few months, we're still waiting for the first devices powered by the chipset. The company has now confirmed that the 10-core Helio X30 is finally entering mass production.
This means that first devices will be released in the second quarter of the year, just in time when the Snapdragon 835 and Samsung's Exynos 8895 will be released. However, we doubt companies will use it on a flagship phone, but most likely on premium mid-range devices. |
