The United States Army has ordered a massive number of rugged Windows 10 tablets. The Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) branch of the Army put in an order for 9,783 Getac F110 G3 tablets with docking stations.

After putting the device through a large amount of testing, it was found to be the best option for the military.

Getac specializes in rugged electronics that can work well in military and police settings.

GCSS-Army will be using the tablets to replace older Army management information systems within the Army's Active and Reserve groups and the National Guard.

The tablet offers an Intel i5/i7 processor, 4 GB of RAM, up to a 1 TB SSD, Windows 10, and a 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display.

Getac will be filling the order by May 2017.
