You have probably asked yourself why Samsung isn't selling Exynos chipsets to other manufacturers, except for Meizu. Well, according to the latest report by the South Korea Trade Commission (SKTC), Qualcomm prevented Samsung from supplying its in-house Exynos processors to third parties.

Apparently Qualcomm blocked it by allegedly "abusing" the standard-essential patent license. That prevents Samsung from selling its modems, integrated processors, and other chips to smartphone makers like LG, Huawei, Xiaomi, and others. The worst thing about his is that Samsung can't sell chipsets for about 25 years, so don't expect to see any non-Samsung phones with Exynos chipsets.
