After reporting a $6.3 billion loss by its US nuclear plant unit, the original plan of selling under 20% of its memory business was no longer possible. Now, according to the Japanese newspaper, there are at least 10 bidders looking to buy Toshiba's NAND memory unit.

The unit accounts for 20 percent of the NAND market and some of the companies interested in purchasing it are Apple, Amazon, Google, Western Digital and others. Toshiba's shareholders agreed to split off the NAND flash unit and sell it to raise at least $9 billion, so we'll know more in the following weeks.
