Apple's share of the Chinese smartphone market has fallen to its lowest point since July 2014. New data from Kantar reveals iOS' market share is now 13.2%, down significantly from the 22.1% that was reported a year ago.

Individual devices like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are doing very well in the market, but they haven't sold enough units to keep up Apple's share.

Android remains far ahead of iOS. It's currently installed on 86.4% of smartphones in the country.

Apple's targeting of the high-end has led to fewer phone sales than would otherwise exist.
