Xiaomi has finally took off the wraps from its 2017 flagship handset. At an event in China, the company has announced its flagship Mi 6 smartphone. The new handset packs the best possible hardware on the market and the best thing is it isn't that expensive.

The base model with 64 GB of storage starts at $360, while 128 GB model costs $420. That is slightly more than the Mi 5, but still a lot less than most of the flagship phones. The variant with a ceramic back panel and 128 GB of storage will go on sale for $440.

The heart of the phone is Snapdragon 835 processor, the top-end Qualcomm chipset, which is paired with 6 GB of storage and a 3,350 mAh battery.

The phone has a 5.15-inch display with 1080p resolution and a dual rear camera setup with two 12-megapixel lenses. Also worth mentioning is a stainless steel frame with 3D curved glass on four sides, stereo speakers, an under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor at the front, an infrared sensor on the top and USB Type-C port, but it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack. It is also splash resistant, but it isn't certified for water resistance. So far no word on the larger model.
