With Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus being official, Samsung has started looking towards the future. The development of the successor to the recently launched flagship smartphones has started and according to a report by Aju Business Daily, Samsung and Qualcomm are already in talks over the Snapdragon 845 chip that might power the phone.

It is still too early to talk about the specs, but since Samsung already probed the 7nm node and have taped out test batches, the chipset might end up being manufactured using 7nm process. Even Samsung's LSI division said that mass production of 7nm chips should start in "early 2018."
