Apple had the single most popular smartphone in the world during the first quarter of 2017. Data from Strategy Analytics shows the iPhone 7 was the best-selling phone even though Apple had a small year-over-year decline in sales.

It's estimated the iPhone 7 was responsible for around 6.1% of total phone shipments and the iPhone 7 Plus accounted for 4.9%. Those are only estimates since Apple doesn't break down quarterly shipment figures by model.
Apple appears to have shipped 21.5 million iPhone 7 units and 17.4 million 7 Plus units during the three-month period.
