A new iPad Mini model isn't in the works, reports BGR. Apple is reportedly leaving behind the Mini line in favor of other versions of the product. A source close to the company is said to have confirmed Apple's intention to discontinue its 7.9-inch tablets.
We don't know when it's planning to end the line or if iPad mini 4 sales could cease in the near future as a result.
Next month, Apple is reportedly going to introduce a 10.5-inch iPad Pro during its WWDC event. Once that model is on the market, perhaps an end to the Mini line will be confirmed.
Without the Mini, there would be a lower-cost 9.7-inch iPad and iPad Pros in the following sizes: 12.9-, 10.5-, and 9.7-inches. |
