iPhones are now being manufactured in India and those units will start showing up on the market this month. Apple has gone through its first trial run assembly of the less expensive iPhone SE and it's continuing production in Bengaluru.

The iPhone SE is a 4-inch smartphone that's relatively powerful for its size. It'll do better in the Indian market than some of Apple's more premium handsets.

In the US it's available for $399 and some retailers sell it for as little as $320. With local production, Indian consumers could potentially access the iPhone SE at a price in the low to mid-$200s.
