Qualcomm is suing some of Apple's suppliers over their decision to allegedly follow Apple's instruction "not to pay royalties." It's going after four suppliers: Foxconn, Pegatron, Wistron, and Compal Electronics. There is already a countersuit against Apple.
Those companies are accused of not paying patent royalties.
This entire case stem from the FTC accusing Qualcomm of giving itself a monopoly position since it demanded higher payments from companies like Apple if they were going to use processors from competing sources.
Apple has sued Qualcomm in multiple countries due to it mandating those terms. |
