Taiwan-based motherboard maker Gigabyte Technology will start selling its Intel Z68-based Z68XP-UD3-iSSD motherboard bundled with Intel's 20GB 331 series solid state drive (SSD) in early July, hoping to boost its Z68 motherboard demand.
The Z68 chipset supports LGA1155-based Sandy Bridge processors, and features Intel Smart Response technology to allow faster storage I/O when paired with Intel's SSD.
As for Intel, the company is pushing the bundle of its Z68 chipset with an SSD to its downstream motherboard partners. In addition to SSD 331 series, Intel also has 320 series SSDs featuring 25nm multi-level cell (MLC) NAND technology with storage capacities ranging from 40-600GB.
