Memory module firm Transcend Information has announced consolidated revenues for April 2018 decreased 18% sequentially and 12.8% on year to NT$1.45 billion (US$48.7 million).

Sales of Transcend's industrial control devices including SSDs came to NT$653 million or 45% of the company's total revenues in April, followed by strategic products with revenues of NT$296 million or a 20.4% ratio. Consumer flash and standard DRAM devices accounted for 19.2% and 15.4%, respectively, of Transcend's overall revenues in April.

Transcend has seen DRAM contract prices reach high points, and expects the prices to likely become stable in the near future. As for NAND flash, its prices are still under downward pressure due to oversupply, the company commented.

Transcend reported revenues of NT$6.25 billion for the first four months of 2018, down 15% from a year earlier.
