Taiwan-based retail chain Tsann Kuen, a distributor of Apple products, has commented on the resignation of CEO Steve Jobs, saying that market demand for Apple's products in Taiwan remains strong and it believes that when iPhone 5 and iPad 3 are launched, consumers will still line up to purchase the products.
Currently, Apple's products contribute about 7% of Tsann Kuen's total revenues and the company believes the upcoming smartphone and tablet PC will boost its revenues in the future.
Tsann Kuen noted that the iPhone 5, set for a September announcement and October launch, and iPad 3, said to be released early next year, will be a great opportunity for Apple to test whether the resignation of Jobs will affect consumer demand for its products. However, based on Tsann Kuen's own observations, consumers still show strong confidence in Apple's products.
The company said it expects Taiwan to start receiving shipments of iPhone 5 in December. |
