Ben Tseng, VP of sales and marketing for ProMOS Technologies, will soon resign from ProMOS following the resignation of JT Lin, company VP of the manufacturing group, industry observers have revealed.
Tseng is also the spokesperson for ProMOS. Jessie Peng, VP of ProMOS' G&A/financial group, reportedly will assume the position of spokesperson after Tseng's departure.
ProMOS has confirmed that Lin resigned due to personal reasons. The company also clarified that Tseng has applied for retirement. Tseng will retire on November 30, 2011, according to ProMOS, without elaborating further.
ProMOS in mid-2011 outlined plans to gradually exit the money-losing DRAM business, and shift its focus to the manufacture of specialty DRAM and mobile RAM, and foundry services. ProMOS has expanded its foundry business to include small-size display driver ICs, partnering with Silterra.
In other news, ProMOS will likely delist its shares from Taiwan's over-the-counter (OTC) stock market if the company fails to submit its financial reports within six months of its trading suspension in September. Trading of ProMOS' shares has been suspended since September 6 as the company failed to file its half-yearly report as required.
