Overall demand in the DRAM spot market remained low this week (November 7-11), as traders continued dumping their stocks amid a gloomy outlook for the year-end holiday shopping season.
As of noon of November 11, spot price of a branded 2Gb DDR3 dropped 5% to US$0.76 and a white-branded 2Gb DDR3 decreased by 3% to US$0.66, noted the research firm.
For the NAND flash market, both spot and contract prices saw downhill trends with no catalyst appeared in the market and very few transactions were made. As of November 11, spot price for a 32Gb MLC fell slightly to US$3.40 while price for 64Gb MLC stayed flat at US$5.89, said the research firm.
Contract price of mainstream 64Gb NAND flash MLC in the first half of November is expected to fall 4-5% to US$5.80 while same density TLC will also dip to US$5.40.
