With some smaller module houses eagerly building up inventories last week, most traders were faced with less pressure this week, (November 28-December 2) with the overall DRAM spot price remaining flat.
As of noon of December 2, spot price of a white-branded 2Gb DDR2 stabilized at US$0.65 and a branded 2Gb DDR3 dipped to US$0.74, noted the research firm.
Overall contract prices of mainstream DRAM are expected to experience a downhill trend through the second quarter of next year, projected inSpectrum, adding that some first-tier PC vendors have decided to adjust their predictions of 2012 worldwide bit growth on the demand side to about 30%, down from 30%-40% previously predicted.
The worldwide bit growth of demand side in 2011 will be around 36%. |
