DRAM chipmakers Nanya Technology and Inotera Memories have reported growth in April 2012 revenues from the previous month of 14.3% and 19.1%, respectively.
Nanya announced April revenues of NT$3.41 billion (US$116.7 million), down 23.1% from the same period of 2011. Revenues totaled NT$12.21 billion for the first four months of 2012, slipping 19.5% from a year earlier.
Revenues at Inotera slid 6.2% from a year ago to NT$3 billion in April 2012. The firm accumulated NT$10.93 billion in revenues from January through April, down 14.6% from the same period of 2011.
Fellow DRAM company Powerchip Technology collected NT$2.27 billion in April revenues, up 7.5% on month but down 43.7% on year. Revenues amounted to NT$7.72 billion for the first four months of 2012, a 48.4% decrease from the NT$14.96 billion posted a year earlier.
