Macronix International and Winbond Electronics, two Taiwan-based producers of NOR flash, had May revenues of NT$2.048 billion (69.1 million) growing 13.50% on month and NT$2.278 billion up 1.88%, according to the companies.
Macronix expects its operations to turn from the red into profitability in the third quarter of 2012.
Macronix and Winbond, in view of intense NOR flash competition, have stepped into production of 512Mb-1Gb NAND flash for use in set-top boxes, automotive electronics, industrial PCs and CPE (customer premises equipment). |
