Memory module maker Adata Technology has reported revenues of NT$2.4 billion (US$80.4 million) for June 2012, up 2.4% on month and 44.8% from a year ago. Revenues totaled NT$6.97 billion for the second quarter, showing 6.6% growth compared to the same period of 2011.
Adata saw sales generated from its DRAM products rise sequentially in the second quarter. Sales of DRAM modules accounted for 47.62% of company revenues, up 5pp on quarter.
Of Adata's second-quarter revenues, the proportion of NAND flash and other products slipped to 52.38%, however.
In addition, Adata commented that Micron Technology's planned acquisition of Elpida Memory will help stabilize DRAM prices and avoid volatile fluctuations. Fewer suppliers in the industry will also allow global capacity to be better allocated, Adata indicated. |
